Nature School at St Patrick's
Our Nature School provides direct access to all of this right on our doorstep. Thanks to support from Sellafield Ltd, Arborscape and the TDA, we have created a one of a kind facility in the heart of Cleator Moor.
At St Patrick's we use our Nature School to:
- Promote self-esteem, creativity, confidence and independence.
- Enhance the existing curriculum and promote creative learning opportunities
- Enable supported risk-taking, child-centred learning, exploration and play.
- Promote team-building and collaboration skills.
We are proud to invite the community to use the site. Community groups, other education providers and businesses are welcome to contact school and book a self-led session in the Nature School.
AUTUMN TERM 2025 NATURE SESSIONS
This term Year Three and Year Six have been using our fabulous nature area. The children really look forward to these sessions as it is time outside of the classroom where they can spend time with their friends and develop social skills and team building skills. We have learnt new skills such as whittling sticks, fire lighting and making stone age bread as well as learning how to identify leaves and trees and enjoying lots of crafts and games together.
